Silent Hill Revelation 3D

..http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=F09FBt1s4ZQ. Words just can't describe how I feel about this (ain't gonna stop me from trying). Just...the title alone almost made me burst into tears. There should be a law against this much selling out, against defacing an entire series like this..I dunno, some of you might look forward to this, and I'll do my best to...tolerate that. I'm just tired of seeing a good series receive this kind of treatment. I thought, "Hey, they made a movie, it was extremely average, had a terrible explanation for the town, nobody's really going to remember this," and now this happens. All the half-assed games have been horrible enough, and now they wanna make some kind of movie series with it. I just...augh. [censored] [censored] up [censored]s. You know, I suddenly don't want to be a bestselling author or game developer anymore. I'd rather die having done nothing whatsoever than spin circles in my grave as everything I worked so hard for was turned into some big joke.

Er, anyway...thoughts?

So a retelling of Silent Hill 3 in the same way the first movie was of the first one? The first movie wasn't bad, and that trailer doesn't seem so wrong either.

And the tags are very approriate. Are you kidding? Betrayal?

Wait, what's wrong with this? I've watched all the movies, and I've played the PS games.

The trailer seems appropriate: yellowy broken down rooms, twisted figures, that pyramid thing. Well, I went from not knowing about this movie to definitely watching it, so thanks. :P

Everything is wrong with this movie. Why is the same old lady from the first movie in this? She's nowhere to be found in SH3. Pyramid Head was a James-exclusive demon, so I have no idea why he's appearing in everything Silent Hill like he's some kind of mother [censored] mascot for the series. And 3D? THREE [censored] D? Oh, right, I forgot Silent Hill is known for its amazing cinematic shots and action sequences. Yep. It was never, ever a series centered around a slow, progressive, creeping horror, a town with a presence and not just a giant transforming cauldron of fire and brimstone.

Seriously. Everyone involved with this movie is a giant, conceited piece of [censored], and whenever I want to feel like offing myself, I'll remember this travesty. Holy [censored] [censored], I need to go slam my head into a wall until I lose my memory.

As far as I'm concerned, Silent Hill is dead. I can't even bring myself to look at the first three games I own anymore, because all they're going to do is remind me of what this series used to be: Something that actually had some meaning and significance to it. RIP.

Eh, you're over thinking it Sub.

As for 3D, I had to watch The Amazing Spiderman and The Avengers in 3D, and apart from a few minutes to get used to it, it doesn't really detract (or add, IMO) anything from the movie. In some scenes it can be cool watching something nearly hit you.
