So in my hunt for the elusive Tesla Cannon (NOT THE TESLA-BEATON) I've been repeatedly waiting at the Silver Rush over and over again, and while they change what gun mods they sell, they never change what guns they carry. It's always:

Incinerator
Laser Pistol
Laser Rifle
Plasma Pistol
Plasma Rifle
Recharger Rifle

I'm Level 30, so shouldn't I have access to better guns? And while I'm on the note of the non-existent Tesla Cannon, I can never find a merchant with 5mm Hollow Point ammo or Mantis Gauntlets (or whatever it's called). I've checked Blake, Vendertron, Chet, Nash, Cliff, and just about every other merchant several dozen times, and non of them have those items. This a glitch, or am I doing something wrong?

Edit: Tried deleting the first update...and they started selling Pulse Guns...

same problem here, was talking about it in another topic and someone said to go in the SR, save, quit to menu, and load. havent tried yet

and yes, for some reason they sold those before the update. before u reinsall the patch go to the abandoned BOS bunker and grab that repair book. (for some reason the patch locks it)

I've already gotten the book from the bunker, I did everything that was working before the first patch "fixed" it.

Anyways, I've tried all the methods to force a merchant to spawn a new inventory, the only things that ever change are the selection of 3 mods and occasionally a type of ammo.

yea, it didnt work.

maybe its normal. the brotherhood and dinky guy dont ever have new weapons or armor either, but they always still have everything ive ever sold them, the graffs dont.

I've had Cliff and the Brotherhood change inventory every now and then. But it can't be normal that the Silver Rush doesn't change. They're supposed to sell Tesla Cannons sometimes, as well as some other Energy Weapons.

well, 1.02 put stuff in the faction safehouses. so now theres one in the BOS safehouse.

It can take a while for merchants to change stock[especially if you reload frequently] but if your in a hurry, stand in front of them and save your game.[to a new file, not necessary for this trick but better for stability]. After saving, quit the game completely go back to the XMB menu. Then reenter the game and load your save. That merchant should have refreshed there stock.

Trust me, I tried the save/quit exploit. It didn't work. Glora Van Graff had a fixed inventory. Looking back, it might have been due to starting the "birds of a feather" quest and being unable to finish it (thanks to some game-breaking bugs). But on my second playthrough, she frequently had different items in her inventory, includign Tesla Cannons and Plasma Casters.
