Simple mod idea I have, need advice.

Hey, I have never released a mod before, and the only modding experience I have is creating some relatively modest houses for my own personal use. I have this idea for a mod I want to make and release to the public, but I was a little worried about possible compatibility issues.

Basically this mod would simply add a bunch of random things to the outdoor worldspace. An example would be how in the vanilla game you can wander across a small alchemist camp with a journal, and you read the journal and it says that the alchemist is down the river picking herbs. So you go down the river and find his body. Just really simple but immersive stuff like this is what I want this mod to add. I don't think I'm going to add any live NPC's, and definetly not scrips or anything like that, but probably just random little mini-stories or similar stuff in random locations. I want it to feel like the mod isn't even installed, that this stuff was just there already in vanilla.

My question is would a mod like this cause a lot of conflicts to other mods? I'm not planning on deleting anything in the vanilla game, only adding things. Obviously there would be a lot of edited outdoor cells. Is this something that would just cause problems or would it be relatively compatible with most mods? Thanks for any advice.

I don't think you may have very many outdoor edits. Most of the random encounters you see are (I think) driven by the Radiant Story system.

Since Story Manager nodes don't conflict with the rest of the tree, I think you could make this pretty compatible. You might want to look at Radiance, it kinda does some of the things you're thinking about doing.
