I always wanted to play TES in third person, but frankly the third person in Oblivion and Morrowind just svcked.

Can anyone give me an honest answer, is the third person in Skyrim good? Does it animate well? Are you able to pick up objects with minimal hassle?

From what I've seen it's mostly for combat and exploration. Grabbing and taking items objects isn't as easy as in First person.
But yes, the animations are good.
