Yes, but imagine how fun it would become if you could reload your last save, enable god mode and mod yourself jet-packs and miniguns.

I know - all the characteristics I display when inebriated. But I'm not - I'm sober and cramming for an exam.

Said exam is on Saturday, so expect lots of posts from me then, all which will be reasonable and make perfect sense.

i disagree, real life as you may know it is boring because you are not actually experiencing it by sitting on a couch, but real life is an adrenaline rush, there are many things about it that are far more rewarding than a fantasy experience.

In Skyrim and most other games, what you see is a show. NPCs chop wood, sleep, eat, etc. but they don't have needs, there isn't an economy going on, it's all theatre. Nothing ever changes.

As far as fantasy world simulators go, nothing beats Dwarf Fortress.

So why bother simulating it with what is always gonna be a fantasy experience?

I never sit on my couch...

and you're talking to someone who has spent the past 5 years doing every extreme sport imaginable. So trust me, I've experienced life.

being believable, challenge, feeling rewarded by overcoming greater obstacles.

Real life has all those things, why would I want to play a game with that in?

Agreed. Haven't played that game much, but that "game" rocks. Wish I had time to "learn" it.

because most people don't have the privilege to experience such things in very unique conditions, like it would be in Tes, tell me how many times do you get to fight a dragon in real life?

Er, I think I must be misunderstanding you here, because I don't understand how you could justify a "real life simulator" having dragons in it...

I might, but a lot of people wouldn't. It depends on what you mean by simulation.

I happen to like things like realistic fatigue and encumbrance, needing to eat and sleep, item degradation, etc. Mostly because these things wear down my character and add an element of strategy to the game. I love things like having a chance that my spell will fail, or my weapon will break, or I'll sustain a crippling injury. The game's too easy. All these little things add up and turn things like dungeon crawls into real challenges that have to be planned for. Not for everyone, but that's the way I like to play.

i mean what could happen there was an actual living dragon, like the show "the deadliest warrior" they take all the facts and make it work.

An Elderscrolls simulation game? What, you mean like where you have to physically swing a sword by moving the mouse around? That's just plain stupid.

i don't know how it would work, but what i meant is like a comparison between "need for speed" and "forza". what would be the forza game of Tes?
