(steam user Fusedcore made that youtube video (and others) and posted it in various threads throughout the steam RAGE forums.

The simple fact he says his custom cfg file works is proof enough that he is using an illegal copy of RAGE. The patched version of the game no longer automatically reads it when launched and almost all of the commands do not work when manually entered because they are locked.
Unless he admits to using the original Rage.exe (which he hasn’t and
made up some bogus reasons instead) the only explanation is he’s playing
a stolen copy.

Other people who claim it works are either lying, are also playing a
stolen copy, or think it works but really doesn’t (placebo effect).

I do not want credit. I do not want fame. I do want [censored] like this to stop. If steam/beth can’t realize it, perhaps it’s users should.

its one thing to steal a game,but another thing to go to a game forum and hawk a cfg from a bent game causing others real grief.

I've paid 50€ for a game I couldn't play for a week. I wish I had used an illegal copy of this beta version.

lol thats not it there are 1000 ways too make the game run nice configs messing with CCC more config testing till you get what you want
