Since Skrim Is Done With DLC...Reccomendations?

Post » Tue Apr 16, 2013 11:44 pm

As the developers are moving away from Skyrim, last night I created a new charachter in Oblivion. While I love Oblivion as well, there seems to be ALOT of time to fill between titles.

What are some good mature oriented immersive Action RPG's you all reccomend. I'm mostly a Bethesda RPG player since i'm at best a casual gamer, never really straying adopting the play-and-drop style. I've played Skyrim to death since release.

I"m primarily looking for immersion, great quests, customization of weapons, armor...things like that. Something meaty that will help bridge the gap.

Thanks.

If you think the typo in the thread title is bad, you should see Skrim Snipers username.

I'd reccomend Kingdoms of Amalur, it's not as in depth as Skyrim but I've had a lot of fun with it, The Witcher is hard to get into but once you do it's pretty good fun. Also Dragon Age: Origins, while the combat blows, the storyline is great (even though I think the 'Origins' storylines would have made games that were more fun than the main one).

Yeah I'm going back to Oblivion too, and I'll still be playing Skyrim on the side plus I have been playing Dark Souls and a game called Nier that I got from my cousin so I still have plenty of games to play at the moment lol.

Free roam fantasy RPG-wannabees due to be published in the next future: Dragon Age 3, Witcher 3 (H2/2013)

Proper oldskood fatnasy RPG for those who know what an 'RPG' is: Project Ethernity (H1/2014)

Games already out in no particular order that can be obtained for cheap : Divinity 2, Two worlds 2, Risen (not so recommended Risen 2)

Also Wasteland 2, not fantasy, but worth a look. (to be released)

Where was it said that they are moving on from Skyrim?

Tho hopefully, that means Fallout 4 is revving at full throttle.

Dark Souls, and it's predecessor, Demon Souls, are games for masochists.

Please advise me where in my OP, my behavior indicates that I am so upset that it would warrant this response from you?

I'll wait....

Definitely the Witcher series -- but don't start with 2 or wait until 3.
