Since when did the perk cap get raised...... ?

Edit: Or I should say "Since when the perk cap go away entirely?" lol

I have played Skyrim since day one, I researched the living hell out of the game before it was released, I am %95 sure that Todd said in articles & different video's that perks capped at 50, a total of 50 perks. Soft level cap of 50, you could level past 50, but perks stop at level 50. I know for a fact after I hit level 51 I was not givin any option to spend any perks back when.

Since when did they take away the perk cap? That is like a drastic change I would think I would not have missed even though I have quit Skyrim for a long time. 81 perks??

What have we gone to Fable 3? You don't even haft to plan your character out now, 81 perks are you kidding me? Can anyone confirm this?

I mena that is awesome, I mean whatver sure, why not, you could already make a plenty of a good enough character for Master difficulty at a perk cap of 50. It's not like this is a mmo or some competitive online game so, 81 perks? [censored] why not.

EDIT: [censored] cannot believe it

So is this true, 81 perks eh?

It's always been 80 perks, one each time you level up. Todd's reference to a soft cap was confusing. What he really meant was that you start leveling slower after level 50 and many players would not play a character above this level. But it had always been possible to get to level 81 and you keep getting a perk with each level. Which is actually 80 perks by my math since you don't get your first perk until level 2.

The Perk Cap has always been 81, Todd may not have imagined anyone playing past Level 50 before 11-11-11
I wish the Game would award extra Perks for Skill Mastery, or filling a Skill Tree. My Mages could use extra Perks to be able to play as just Mages.

[censored] kidding me

Is there anything in the Dragonborn DLC resistant to all forms of magic? Otherwise... Hello full blown out mage... And some.

Edit: I mean honestly as fun as it would be to go full blown out illusion I do totally fine on Master with my mage as is and that is with population mods like WARZONES.

I kid you not. A lot of us were confused by Todd's comments. Like you i hung on his every word pre-release. I really don't understand what that guy's got against spreadsheets. Don't even get me started on that. But hey he did coin a new term -- spreadsheety. Can't have a game that is too spreadsheety, now can we. Wouldn't want people saying that TES V was too much like TES III, now would we. That would be bad cause no one liked that game cause of all the spreadsheets. But yeah 80 perks.

I've no idea about Dragonborn. Haven't downloaded it yet. But I doubt they would add anything that was immune to magic.

Spend five minutes playing around with http://www.jayzar.co.uk/ and you will see it really isn't as OP as you seem to think it is.

http://www.jayzar.co.uk/#00NWNWg0N001|4lqW4F|y007{eU00000000000cSG is my current character. Note that I do not have enough Perks to get everything that I should and I only have two trees maxed out.

80 perks is god mode, the only way I could make it where I would die every once & awhile is putting the game on Master and taking a hit or two from a ebony arrow etc unprepared or what have you. Giving my vampire I already am satisified with 30 more perks is a bad thing for the people & creatures of Skyrim, its not good.

It is really late here, unfortunate you do not think 80 perks is enough but I am going to bed, I can %100 assure you 80 perks will net you a god of a character especially on consoles limited difficulty options
