i need to find a sixbot.

i remember ralph mentioning some old robo facility around freeside or something, but i cant get him to remind me where it is. also the quest marker is glitched and just points to the door to freeside across from the van graffs' store; when i go through it, it just points back at the door again...

Freeside is a bit confusing. When you're at that door turn 180o and look to your left. You should see a path around that rubble. Follow that path to the robotics dealer.

Use your Local Map.

When the quest marks do this it is not a glitch.
It's a feature.

some of the quests require that you do some actual investigation.
another example is when you are tasked with finding the thief who is stealing the medical supplies at the NCR camp.
You actually have to go look and investigate - the quest marker just points to the center of the camp.

Was a pain in the ass to find the place, If I remember its actually in the area behind the door... I think there is a pass through a pile of rubble to the right to get to it

When you arrive at that door, don't go through it.
Instead, turn right (to look at the highway overpass) and walk in that direction.
As you walk that direction, you will see that there is more to this section of Freeside.

Follow the building and you will see a door. This is NOT the place you are looking for (yet).
Keep going until you see a burning barrel in the distance. Walk to the burning barrel and you will see a doorway on that building to your left.

hi, i went to that place where the robot is and hacked the terminal but could not get the robot to mrespond,is this supposed to happen

In this case it is neither a glitch or a feature. It is just a confusing area in freeside.

Talk to Mitch (I think that is his name the other guy with Ralph) and ask him about the sixbot. He will write some software for you but it takes like a couple of game days. Once you have the software the robot is fully functional and you even get a test drive!!
