*Spoilers Ahoy!*

So, I've been rolling with the Skaal gloves and boots with the Novice hood and Iron armor. Been this way for the past 50 or so hours. I haven't really gotten involved in the MQ at all as I just wanted to focus on character development that is non-reliant on the MQ.

So I decided I wanted to fulfill my Dragonborn destiny and gain all the perks the DB quest offers. So I progress through The Horn of Jurgen Wind-caller. When I go to meet Delphine in RW, I'm met by the cultists. Immediately after I get rid of them, my framerate drops and is popping all over the place. This is extremely annoying and totally takes me out of he immersive effect this game has.

So I start experimenting. I remove the DLC and load the save after meeting the cultists. I'm in bare feet and no gauntlets since removing the DLC rid me of those items. No screen popping at all. I re download the DLC and in equip the glove/ boots. Then start going back and forth between the apparel and find the gauntlets are causing the screen popping.

I did this over and over and found no matter where I left the gloves, Skyrim or Solsthiem, after the events of the cultists causes the framerate pop after I equip the gauntlets. This is extremely annoying and I'm very picky about what my guy wears. Any advice as it seems that the vanilla game conflicts with DB when the actual DLC quest starts? This screen popping does not occur on Solsthiem. Only when I'm on the mainland and only when I equip the Skaal gloves.

I'm currently trying to finish the DB quest to see if his goes away since it started when activating the MQ.
