Skeletal Animations (Previously Posture)

Have you ever noticed in MMOs, that everyone moves the same way. The way that I move, everyone else moves too. I would like to see some customization in Posture.

Some people slouch, some people limp, or sit extremely upright.

A person with an agility of 1 would stagger all over the place

I can't imagine that being too hard to accomplish. I immediately think of mutants with their gimpy stride, bumbling around Necropolis. Just another level of avatar customization. he's the zissou.

anything is possible with programing!

besides it actually wouldn't be that hard, all one would need is additional sets of skeletal animations and some scripting.

if health = >90%
use "walk_animation_normal"

if health = <90% and >60%
use "Walk_animation_limp"

if health = <60% and >40%
use "walk_animation_stumble"

if health = <40% and >0%
use "walk_animation_crawl"

( pardon my crappy example of scripting ) hay, "OC" ..... i got something for ya right here! _|_ (^.^) _|_

Skeletal animation is a much better word than posture. Let me just edit the title real quick.

Its will be realy fun if developters create some different animation for fat or tin chars.. not all want to play by standart "foto-model" or muscular types of characters. For me - I want to see my char as fat lazy cherif of desert.. with bad teeth and slow moves...(but with eagles eye! i mean he must be realy good gunner) If they add some different animations pack for some "non standart" chars its will be realy great, and I never left that game :mrgreen: Image
