SKSE Getting rid of my keybindings...

Post » Sun Aug 26, 2012 1:01 pm

So tried to instal SKSE (Skyrim Script Extendor) installed via Nexus mod manger, didn't work so i attempted to uninstall via the NMM and install it manually, still wouldn't work so i now (i think) have it completely uninstalled off of my computer.

but i go into my skyrim to play, it switched up my mouse clicks where left is right and and right is left hand, which is completely stupid. I try and switch it back to right is right and left is left but nope, it got rid of the option to do that. It does not exist in the keybindings list.

I'm either blind or completely stupid. But it isn't there..can i possibly get some help with this issue? I can give my Mod List if needed..

Never heard of that problem, I don't think it exists from SKSE.

SKSE simply allows for Functions in scripting that aren't present in the game, like IsFood(). I'd say there is separate problem there dude.

This might sound strange but installing it might fix the issue.

Just place everything except the "src" folder into the same folder (directory) as TESV.exe (This might just be TESV if you don't have file extensions set to show). The "Data" folder should ask you to merge with the existing one, just say yes to anything which pops up.

EDIT: Although I do seem to remember something similar happened to me at one point, nothing to do with SKSE and it just fixed itself...

You have "More Hotkeys Please SKSE BETA" installed which installs its own control-map, on the nexus page under the optional files there is a download for a version with a more sensible assignment of left and right click.

What this astute fellow said, basically - expanded: You probably installed SKSE because you wanted a mod that required it, yes? Did you remember to uninstall your SKSE reliant mod as well? Some of these can cause very odd behaviors when SKSE isn't actually installed (if not outright crashing the game).
