The US mega online retailer race begins. Newegg vs Amazon, which one ships Skyrim in the states first?

I live in Ireland and the Amazon estimate of arrival is Wednesday/ Thursday next week

I have pre-ordered mine from Amazon.co.uk and live quite farther.
Yet i'm expecting it by next Monday.

There's even a slim chance it'll arrive on the11th should it ship tomorrow.
No shipping costs, none.

I've pre-ordered mine from U.S. Amazon, release date delivery. Nothing so far has changed regarding status; has not shipped etc.

Anyone btw know how the cloth map looks? That's what Skyrim is offering for the pre-order, I am not sure if that's the only thing that comes with it...but some people have already gotten the game...it really is cloth right?

and it looks cool?!?

I cancelled mine from Amazon US. They showed an estimated 11/14/11 ship date. Going to try my luck hitting Walmart up midnight Thursday. I've ordered from Amazon several times before and arrived release day. i probably waited too long to pre-order.

For release date shipping Amazon usually ships it the day before via overnight delivery. Least here in the U.S.

Amazon has always came through for me.

Pre-ordered mine with the fastest delivery option (expedited), getting it Thurs would be ideal as I could start playing the instant it unlocks on Steam. Although if it's Friday morning I won't be too upset. Glad that it's ready to be shipped out, although orders status still just says "Not yet dispatched."

do I have to install and download like a game purchased with steam or can i just stick the disc in and there is an install client on the disc. if I cant have to download all the files and crap via steam using my crappy internet is there anyway I can pre-load it

ok good news and bad news

good news is i picked a load of skyrim today so i'm expecting a load to be shipped off tonight.

bad news is i can't play mine till at least 4:30pm damn 8 hour shifts >

I got in from work today at 4pm. Had a brew and checked my emails. I have one from amazon confirming its been dispatched.

Im from there too, in Exeter. Ive recieved a confirmation email. Hopefully you will get it sometime tonight. The email that is, not the game, though wouldnt that be something!

Just got the elder scrolls dispatched email 30 mins ago, any chance it will be here tomorrow?

Not recieved any notice from Amazon, apart from the map info the other day. Doesnt matter if it comes Thursday or Friday, cannot play it until then & i'm not sitting upto midnight to unlock it,if it arrived early. :violin:

Only took one working mail day for my MW3 though, so even if it ships tomorrow it will probably be there on friday.
