Skyrim and Oblivion voice actor Wes Johnson does Skyrim char

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 1:08 pm

Like the topic says, Wes Johnson, the guy who played the guards and Lucien Lachance and others in Oblivion has made a couple of awesome in-character commercials for Elder-Geek.com's 48 hour Skyrim charity marathon for Child's Play. Hilarity and nostalgia follows:

Lucien Lachance:

PS: I know it's my first post here, but I thought this was just too awesome for Elder-Scrolls fans to miss.

Thanks man, I wasn't sure if I should or not, I hate it when people create accounts only to promote something, but I figured this was worth it, plus I imagine I'll be using this forum quite a bit now that Skyrim is almost out.

On a side note, how awesome would it be if they Got Wes Johnson to appear, in-character during the marathon? I hear he's got a pretty major role in Skyrim as well, he could even do some of that.

That's good considering he was the only voice actor in OB that wasn't godawful aside from Borimir and the glorious Emperor Patrick Stewart VI.

I thought that whoever played the male wood elves were pretty good, one of the more unique voices and accents in the game.

Most of the voice actors were good. It's just that there were too much "canned" dialogue shared with 500th NPCs (which sounded flat since most of those NPCs had different personalities). However, Wes Johnson could make them sound good and even memetic. I think that's the big difference.

He does indeed have a very major, literally jaw-dropping, role in Skyrim! :twirl:

I won't say how I know this, let's just say I've, um ... seen things.

I actually didn't realize he was the actor behind Sheogorath, just goes to show how varied his talent is, he also plays Mr. Burke in Fallout 3.

True, not to mention that there were only about 15 actors, where as Skyrim has over 70.
