When I first got Skyrim I played the crap out of it and loved it. But the thing I was looking forward to the most was the arena, because I played Oblivion and my favorite part of that was the arena... When I found out that Skyrim didn't have one, I got seriously dissapointed. There is no reason for Bethesda whatsoever not to add one into the game as the nords are all about fighting basicly and it would fit perfectly into the culture. So what I'm hoping for is they will add it as a DLC for you to fight in for fame, gold and honor. Like, with new ranking systems and titles, weapons and armor, big rewards, new passive skills after winning a fight (Bonus to health, stamina and magicka for example), training rooms, new monsters (imported from cyrodiil, hammerfell and other places etc) to fight and you can bet on matches and set up your own custom matches and stuff, even mounted horse battles if you want.

And you would hear people talking about how awesome it is that a arena has opened in Skyrim, like "Hey, did you know they are opening a new arena? Thinking about fighting myself" etc
And you could create a team to fight beside you and choose how many enemies and what kind of enemies you're fighting and you would have a large audience watching you fight and cheering you on etc. Perhaps add some new quests, like you get captured by slavers and are forced to fight in the arena to survive, using only the tools you are given. Or it can be a choice to be thrown into the arena if you commit a crime instead of the boring jail

I know there are mods and stuff similar to this, but that is also the case with hearthfire, which I also love <3
I personally think people would love it if this came out as new official downloadable content for everyone to enjoy.

So what do you think of this? Would it be a good idea?
