It was Friday, when I strolled through the city with my Skyrim Collectors Edition. Me and a friend who did also get Skyrim at the same store went to a Café to have some breakfast.
The waiter spotted my Collectors Edition and asked "Oh, Skyrim.. what was that again?". So I explained him short and briefly how it was TES5, the successor to Oblivion and that it was gonna be epic, and I mentioned dual wielding.
He awkwardly stared at it and mumbled something like "Oh well, you know, I′m more the WoW-guy...". At this point I already shifted into "dont even bother"-mode, but I didn′t even have to respond.
He kinda went nuts all of a sudden and the most ridicculous conversation ever ensued: "Isn′t that the game where you just run around with a shield like an idiot all day?" [notice how he asked me about what the game even was a minute ago]
I tried to remain polite and just said "Lol, no, that′s not really what it is about...".
Then he went totally ballistic: "Oh my god, what a trash, I mean really, what a piece of garbage, thats not even a real game! CoD, MW2, Minecraft 2 (what the heck did he even mean?), BF2, THESE are real games!"
"Seriously... what a scrap!" -walks off shaking head-
Later, after we ate and he came back for us to pay, without any provocation, he started again:
-shakes head- "Oh my god, what a trash..."
"I mean you don′t even do anythig, all you do is runnig around with a shield all the time!"
"Lol, it′s basically just MW3 with a shield!"
I almost bursted out laughing when he said that, It is probably the most epic thing I had heard in weeks. I tried to control myself and just went out with a quiet "troll harder".
Needless to say, I didn′t tip him.


And this is the story of all my signatures from now being "Skyrim: Its′s basically just MW3 with a shield."

This post just goes to show that most people don't know a good game when it's right in front of them. I will add, however, that some people like linear gameplay, while others don't.

I didn't realize that people actually talk to waiters and for waiters to think it is OK to talk to their customers..

MW3 has shields...

If they want a tip, they should at least feign some interest anyway....

What a tool.

I used to wait tables and I can tell you that a good waiter knows when their customers want some chattiness, and when they do not. But generally the best tips come after good conversations with your customers. Sometimes you build relationships through that. Hell, two of my barristas (spelling?) at Starbucks are now my friends because we started talking.

I would have told him to [censored] off, and if he wouldn't shut up I would complain to the manager.

But I can be very quick tempered, and that would just piss me off.. I mean it was "ok" the first time he said it, but coming back shaking hes head? I would tell him do that again and I would break his neck.

This made me laugh, seriously though don't get too bent out of shape, both games are more than fine. I split time on the PC with Skyrim and the 360 with MW3 this weekend. They are to totally different games One is immerse and challenging and the other relies on teamwork, tactics, and hand-eye coordination. Its okay to like both games.

Please don't tell us you actually said "lol" in conversation...
