Skyrim Bonestrewn Crest Glitch

Ok, so I was on a 'Dragon Seekers' quest with fellow companion Farkas, who wished to fight his very own dragon. Everything was going good and great, and when we get to the place where the dragon was, which is at Bonestrewn Crest, I noticed the dragon was lagging...badly.

From flying BACKWARDS, and swooping all over the place, to breathing fire in the sky at nothing (which only hit himself due to flying backwards). At first, I couldn't help but to laugh, but after a while of using shouts and multiple arrows, I realized I was getting nowhere with this quest, and he sure wasn't landing. Out of everything, the most annoying thing is, if you try to get close enough to possibly land a few hits on him with a shout or a dose of good ol fashion magic, he swoops off again into the distance, almost as if he's afraid of me, and then basically mocks me by staying in one exact spot in the distance, just out of reach to do any sort of damage.

Now whats weird is, my ps3 Skyrim hasn't been laggy or glitchy at ALL, and suddenly i get a dragon that I can't even kill?

It svcks and I will now PERMANENTLY be stuck with Farkas FOREVER because I have no idea how you can abandon the quest altogether:\

When you throw fireballs at it, when it's near death it will glitch to a random area and then have full health, I dont know what is going on but it svckS

as soon as he is about to die or I LITERALLY TAKE ALL OF HIS HEALTH he glitches to god knows where and, my game's FPS begins to drop to 1 and its unplayable and it doesn't count for the quest being completed!
