I've noticed that there isn't really a place for roleplayers to share what's happening in their games. There are plenty of threads to share backstories, and there's a great community on the (somewhat inactive) Dead Is Dead thread, but nowhere to share our characters everyday lives.

Introducing the Character Updates thread, modelled on the popular http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1425643-character-updates-8/threads. It's a place for roleplayers to share the events of their gameplay, and a place to share your character's story. Be sure to introduce your character, so we have an idea of who your character is!

Volund, Nord hunter, woodcutter and part-time blacksmith, has undertaken a hunting expedition through the forests surrounding Riverwood. He's no hero or adventurer, meaning he fled at the sight of the a Nordic Crypt not far from Falkreath. The hunt was slow today - only three deer hides and a few wolf pelts.

There was an odd occurence not far from the ruins of Helgen - a group of mages had stumbled upon a bandit camp, and a deadly battle had ensued. Despite his best efforts, Volund was unable to sneak past the sole surviving bandit, who decided he wanted Volund's blood. A few arrows and a healing potion later, the bandit was dead. There was little of value in the camp, aside from a curious piece of parchment - a map, of some sort.

Volund returned to Riverwood in the evening, making himself a set of hide armor with the pelts he'd collected. With a litle help from Alvor, he improved his bow and steel dagger, before retiring to the Sleeping Giant Inn for a tankard of ale and a warm bed.
