Skyrim companions in Dawnguard question : V

Hello all,

I was wondering if I can take any of my companions from Skyrim to the Dawnguard DLC (Marcucio, for example) and vice versa (Serana to Skyrim content). Been looking everywhere for answers to this question. Be kind of cool to do so. Thanks for your time:)

Yes, I have used Mjoll in some of my Dawnguard quests and certainly Serana has helped me with Skyrim quests.

My Wood Elf has cousin Faendal in legendary Dawnguard light (he sides with the vamps and turns hostile in heavy, go figure) he's pretty mean with a crossbow too. I carry Linwe's gear around with me which has a slightly higher armour rating, so whenever they do TG quests it's just a case of giving him Linwe's gear.

I dont really know what to do with Linwe's armor
