My Xbox 360(arcade) doesn't seem to be recognizing any Skyrim disc, I am on my third disc right now. I have just replaced the laser in my disc drive but Skyrim is the only disc that won't work right now. I couldn't find any information pertaining to this issue, so I thought this would be the best place to ask, does anyone have any solution?

Is you 360 fully updated with the latest dashboard software? Skyrim uses a new disc format for 360 that old consoles wont have without updating from xbox live.

do you have a hard drive attached? i know you specified the arcade version of the console, but did you add a hard drive to it later on, or were you planning on playing from a memory card? it's my understanding that skyrim heavily relies on the memory cache of the system's hard drive. if you can, connect a friend's hard drive to the console and see if it will read your disc after that

Yes it is fully updated. I think you were correct about the hard drive as I have been playing from a usb drive, so i will connect a hard drive ASAP, appreciate the responses guys!
