Skyrim DLC PCPS3 Release Thread

Post » Fri Jan 18, 2013 6:55 am

Welcome to our thread made for PS3 and PC fans who are still waiting and hoping for DLCs to be released for Skyrim. We all are anxious for the release of Dawnguard, Heathfire and Dragonborn for our respective platforms \ and Bethesda has assured us many times that they are working on getting those DLCs to all of us.

We understand some are tired of waiting, some are angry and some have or are giving up. We want to continue to have a place for you all to discuss and vent your frustrations and desires and thus we will try to allow this one thread to remain for everyone to do that.

Do keep in mind that we have rules and that you all agree to abide by them when joining. We enforce those rules strictly and give warnings and short suspension times to any member who breaks the rules.
Forum rules
Do not troll:
5. Trolling is not allowed here.

In Internet terminology, a troll is someone who intentionally posts derogatory or otherwise inflammatory messages about sensitive topics in an established online community such as this forum to bait users into responding. They may also plant images and data that others may find disturbing (usually indirectly relating to the individual in person) in order to cause confrontation.

If you come in here to say something that you know will upset other members, you are trolling.

Do not flame and that includes flaming anyone or any group of members. That covers individual Bethesda employees, groups of employees, moderators and of course any regular member or groups of them.
7. Flaming is not allowed.

Insulting individuals or groups of members and name calling are flames. Any remark that is made to insult or demean another member or group of members will be considered a flame and thus you may receive a warning for it.
Calling people a troll or an apologist for instance can both be considered a flame as can calling someone stupid or ADD. Attacking Xbox players, PS3 players or PC players is not allowed and calling them "console kiddies" or in anyway indicating someone is in some way a lesser person because of their choice is considered a flame here.

Do not stir up console or platform wars, that is also included under the flaming rule above.

Do not discuss moderator actions or inactions on the open forum:
9. Posting about moderator or administrator action or inaction is also against the rules of this forum.

Please feel free however to contact the moderator involved, another moderator you feel comfortable with, our community manager Gstaff or another admin if you disagree with a moderator action. Our moderators do not mind taking a second look or discussing an action with the other moderators and admin to assure they have acted fairly. So if you think you've been treated wrongly or that unfairly, be sure to send a PM. Sometimes moderators make mistakes.

And please read our rules pertaining to criticism.
8. The only criticism that is allowed here is constructive criticism and that is welcome.

Constructive criticism criticizes a proposed idea. Criticism that is directed against one person, be it a modder, another member, an individual developer, a certain moderator or a group effort are all forbidden.
This means that when you voice your concerns, please do so in a way that offers a vehicle for improvement. If you see something going wrong, feel free to say so, but also say something about how to set it right.

Latest info provided by Bethesda:
From Gstaff:

I've seen folks posting that we're holding the PC release and that's not the case. There's a lot of work that goes into getting the content ready for both platforms.

I can understand that. I don't have the information to share right now, but when I do, you'll be hearing from us.

Don't worry, I don't. I know you guys just want answers as quickly as possible, and I'm working to get those answers to you. It's an ongoing process and there's always factors to consider (testing, submissions, coordinating with Sony, Steam, etc). We're working on all of these things behind the scenes and as everything comes together and is finalized, we'll be able to provide more details to you guys. It should be soon , but at this exact moment, I can't tell you how soon.
There's no definitive release information for PC or PS3 yet, but we'll let you guys know as soon as we can.

Even though I play on an Xbox, I feel sorry for the PC/PS3 players. I'm anxious for the release for the PC so i can have all of the DLCs on the PC and mods.:D

I am trying not to think about it. Instead just focusing on my current characters who have enough adventure ahead of them still.

"sorry this is wrong , Iperfectlyknow u can use more dlcs for an esp mod , but I am talking of version control and ESM mods , wich is quite different ...."

You are quite right. It seems I scarcely know what I'm talking about when it comes to modding. I apologize and will stick to whining about DLC instead of giving false advice in the future.

Speaking of which, I really want Gstaff to get here already. It's no fun to whine when you have nobody to whine to (and by whine I actually mean ask questions politely and not be rude and please don't ban me or give me any warnings).

It seems that a thousand years of darkness has descended upon us PS3 owners. If only a hero from the elder scrolls VI would save us.

@Summer

Who is the Sara Lee or Sara Something you mentioned in the previous thread regarding new deserts being posted on her site? You totally confused me with that one and the way the wheels in my mind go round and round I must figure this out as confusion really drives me crazy... err.. ya. I think that made sense!
