Are you sure your saves are there? Because Dawnguard has no effect on previous saves, you can load what ever save you want.

Obvious question is why post this in general discussion? It belongs in the tech help area for the x-box 360. Unless your not running it on that, in which case ban hammer time!

Are you on the right xbox profile and or device? Are you sure you didn't select the internal HD when your saves are on an external or something?

Obvious question is why anyone not a moderator or dev would care other than to express some ill-conceived self-importance?

Exactly how many profiles do you have? The DLC is probably only going to work on the profile you were using when you downloaded it. So you maybe need your saves on that same profile?

Obvious question is obvious? This is a general discussion forum, and there is another forum dedicated for *just* tech support. And, you realize, that the person might actually talk to some form of tech support there?

Does the "loading new content" apear when your starting up Skyrim?? If not, download the DLC again. This may be preventing your save files loading correctly.
Also try loading your save files without DLC installed, that way you can determine if your save files work propery. If they do, you know the DLC is causing the issue.
There are a few topics in the Xbox 360 support section that may help you solve the problem. Type in "save file problems" in the search forums tool.

Good luck.

Unless someone decided your a moderator, why don't you expend some of that negative energy trying to help the OP, instead of busting his balls on where he should be typing questions.
Your the reason "newbies" never get help in forums.
