Skyrim duelwielding swords worth it or not?

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 10:14 pm

I don't get how this works. When I wield 1 conjured sword I have 27 damage, but when I duel wield conjured sword I have 54, does this man I do 54 on each swing or only when I swing them together?

Is duel wielding swords even worth it or should I just wield one sword and a spell like heal or fire in the other hand?

You will have higher dps with 2 swords than 1. Whether or not other combos work better is up to you to find.

You have to get the perk that allows you to swing faster. It's in the one handed tree and you can swing up to 40% faster.

but i swing the same speed with two swords as I swing with one, the attack speed is like the same unless I get the two handed perk.

I dunno.. But the duel power attack is certainly devestating. Four quick slashes in a row. Can kill almost anything if it isn't a dragon, giant or anything else too big. (Like freaking frost trolls.. :cryvaultboy:)

I have no idea what's the deal with dual wielding as well. I mean, I switched back to single one handed weapon as soon as I found out that you can't parry when dual wielding. How [censored] up is that?

The dual wield power attack is simply devastating, I get rid of the no blocking problem simply by avoiding most of the hits, it is worth dual wielding :hubbahubba:

2 weapons does do more damage. I think the power atack does something like 3 powerful stricks realy fast. BANG BANG BANG and that does plenty of damage.

Naturally you have to swing both swords for the amount of damage displayed. It's absolutely worth it, I sometimes drop my shield for another 1h weapon against less hard-hitting foes and they drop like flies.

I think dual wielding is worthit. I have done some badass things with dual wielding and I didn't have any sword perks. I know the problem lies in not being able to block but I think that fighting style is tailored to those light and evasive. The last light armor perk even gives you a chance to completly evade an attack from time to time.
