Skyrim Dungeon Puzzles?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 1:37 pm

So far I am in love with Skyrim, ive already logged in over 20 hours. Just one annoying thing is that when dungeon diving (which I do alot) there are too many hard to figure out puzzles. Maybe its just me, but I find them extremely annoying. I know you have to find clues on how to solve them but they are difficult to find (except the ones with the correct symbol right above it). I keep on finding myself having to take out my laptop and search for the correct way to solve it, which I hate having to do. I think it would be alot funner without these and be able to continuously make progress throughout the dungeon without having to stop midway and try to figure out a puzzle. Do you guys agree with me on this fact and if you dont, what makes them fun for you? But aside from that, I think Skyrim is amazing and this is probably one of my only gripes.

They're pretty simple. So they're more of an annoyance then anything.

Idon't agree at all! The more taxing a puzzle is, the better. I love that Bethesda games have every element in them. Fighting, exploring, and yes, using your brains as well! In fact I would love Beth to include more puzzles not less!

I find them interresting and a essential part of the dungeon system.

I love them. I think they make a excellent addition to dungeons. It really helps control the pace and stop the "run and gun" approach. It also forces you to pay attention to details in the environment.

I also like the mental aspect of solving the puzzles. Having that "eureka" moment when it all clicks is just as fun as for me as leveling up. In fact. it is the harder puzzles that I enjoy the most, the ones that make me stop and just ponder things for a while. Some of them have been really clever.

I haven't had to look up any solutions online. That would destroy the fun of it for me. I really hope to encounter a dungeon filled with nothing but devious and brain-bending puzzles!
