I've been searching the web, and I know that freezing at the dragon logo on launch is a widespread problem. Apparently a "fix" has been found for Win 7, but I haven't found anything for Win XP users.

Please, is there a patch or a fix for this problem? I'm at my wit's end. I've had this game for months, and have been unable to play it.
