Hey everybody,

I would like some help with a topic that's bugging me right now. Like many of you, I've bought the new awaited Skyrim for my PS3. Although I'm Spanish and bought the game in Spain, I would like to play the game in English, since it's the original language and actors have worked on some of the voices. My friends told me that to change the language of the game I'd have to change the system settings and the PS3 language. I did this and everything worked fine, but when I started the game, it was in French. I've tried changing to different languages to see if any are in English, but it seems the only error is in the English language.

I've no idea of how to speak French and would like some help with this issue. I hope you all are having a great time with this amazing game

European countries besides UK only have French and a few other languages (German and Spanish I believe) on the disc, no English. The UK only have English on their disc.

We want to play the game on its original language. We already bought the game and i am not going to play it till its English.

Why should we have to order from another country?

Bethesda, this is not a good practice for a customer oriented company. Please solve this issue, this is absurd.

Why should they make every language available everywhere? That just takes up an unnecessary amount of disc space. If I want a game in Japanese I don't typically expect to find it just sitting on a store shelf in America.

We have many different languages in Europe and most games here are multilingual with all languages included. Just one EU version for all European country.
And it's a very rare exception that English is missing so it's understandable that many people bought the game in their country amusing that they could play the game in English, even if it's not their native language.
Disc space shouldn't be an issue either. A BluRay disc has 25-50GB capacity and Skyrim (with 4 languages) has only 10GB, enough free space to add English as a fifth language.

That's the mistake right there, making a bad assumption and then demanding Bethesda make adjustments to match a bad assumption.

I don't want any language ? just want to be able to play it on the original language. Eu + English or if i am in japan it would be Japanese+ English

Besides the demand to be able to play it in the original language, I don't want to pay the same price for a product with less quality. Why? Simple, the original sync is done very well with ~70 speakers ... the german one just isn't! There are (recognizable) fewer speakers and the feeling just isn't right. So forgive me to demand just the two standards everyone else provides with its products:
1. it's running properly
2. English is available (the best quality for the game/movie which was produced with the most/highest care/cost)

This is not correct. "Polish" version distributed in Poland is English only.

Maybe this is because the Polish language version doesn't exist, so in poland they sell the uk version. In Italy my game is in italian, I didn't try to change it, but i think i have also german, spanish and french inside.

PS3 disc is 50GB so they can put anything in it if they wanted 2

Yeah they had the extra space to put as many languages as they want but they didn't, and they sell it to us the same price as the English version (amazing voice acting... ). knowing that Metal Gear Solid 4 which was a huge game and took all the space in the Blue-Ray disc, yet it was in Multi languages .... isn't that weird !!

Totally agree. But i think Bethesda don't think that we deserve this version with the price we pay in Europe. We are some cheap customers for them.

Polish language version actually exists but only on PC. Our publisher (Cenega) after Fallout 3 on PS3 (no patches whatsoever for Polish version) decided not to make it for consoles.

And I totally agree with them.

Wise choice... not like mine (to play this game on ps3 instead of pc).
