Skyrim got stale, helpsuggestions for a planned out characte

So it seems like the game has gotten stale for me. I was addicted to it for several months after release, but I fear that I really over played it, and it eventually got to the point where it was a replay of my oblivion crisis where I became an "alt-oholic" and couldn't get to level 10 on a character before making a new one.

I decided to just take time off from the game, been about 5 months since I played it seriously (I got dawnguard and thought it was cool, but it wasn't enough to get me playing again) but I'm gonna give it a go again now. I deleted all my old characters and plan on starting fresh, and I'm looking for suggestions for a fun playstyle to go with for this new character.

Now I know that "fun" is a word that has different meanings depending on the person defining it, so to clarify things, I'll go through things that ARE NOT fun FOR ME:

Fun (again, for me personally) is NOT any of the "stereotypical" or "pure" character types, meaning the stereotypical warrior, stereotypical thief/assassin, stereotypical destruction mage (I put destruction for mage because that's how the mage is portrayed in most games).
Fun is NOT entirely reliant on stealth because then you are screwed in situations where stealth is not an option (like when a dragon flies down and attacks you out in the world).
Fun is NOT a completely overpowered tank that destroys everything, but it's not necessarily gimped either, I want to be a "powerful" character, but I don't want the challenge taken out of the game completely.
Fun is NOT having to open up the favorites menu every 2 seconds in combat to change out weapons and spells, I'm on the 360 so I only have two keybinds :'(, I don't mind having to make adjustments once in awhile and to "re-buff", but I don't like pausing the game over and over and over again to change things up.

So you seek balance in your character?
(Not too strong, not too weak)

He has his challenges, he has is victorious godly moments?

Sounds like you answered your own question. Create a character outside of the stereotypical bounds. Make a hybrid of classes/schools that don't necessarily mesh.

*EDIT*
Canadianborn just blessed you with a treasure trove of character ideas. Good looking out Canadian. Some nice builds & ideas going on in there.

i've found playing with minimum health characters to be fun. currently doing a stealth archer with everything into stamina. after im done with her, ill try a mage with everything into magicka with only 100 health. keeps you on your toes, ill say that. been attacked by a couple groups of thugs, and if i didnt have those slow or paralysis poisons i would've been boned.

I'm currently playing a Bosmer archer and member of the Dawnguard. He's not using any magic so has equipped the DG axe and shield, bound the crossbow on d-pad left and bound a glass bow of the blaze on d-pad right. That way he can toggle three set-ups without having to open the favorites menu.

It gets tricky once you bind magic to the d-pad because hitting it twice puts you into dual wielding the spell you have bound.
