Skyrim - GOTY edition

Post » Wed Nov 07, 2012 1:00 am

OK so I had this idea and it may be a stretch. But lets say 'Dragonborn' is Bethesda's last planned DLC for Skyrim. If so its release obviously coincides with the end of the year. That might mean that they could be planning a Game of the Year edition for Skyrim here soon, lets say next spring. That could actuall ry mean that that's when they are planning to actually release all of the DLC for PS3 users. It would make perfect sense for them to get everything working straight, release it with a new patch for further improvement, then release it on all platforms at the same time. Just like they did with Oblivion and Fallout 3, just under different circumstances. Thoughts?

I honestly hope there's one more big expansion next year before GOTY edition.

What makes you think a GOTY will eliminate all the bugs? It didnt with Oblivion just reproduced them.

I think they should save the goty edition until the very very last dlc and patch, then it can be your all in one install disc for everything, the problem with oblivions goty edition was you still had to download all the smaller dlc which made it pretty worthless, there was still a lot of prep work to be done to get the "complete" game.

Maybe skyrim is the last elder scrolls game and they plan to turn all the other provinces into massive dlc? (one at a time though)

I mean once they fix it, then release the GotY edition for all platforms. Plus I wouldn't mind more DLC as well. I'm saying we probably won't see anything on PS3 until the Game of the Year.
