Skyrim Installation size

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 8:57 am

After installing skyrim to my xbox, I was surprised to see that the install was only 3.8GB - not that I'm complaining. However, I have read elsewhere that the install size for the PS3 is somewhere around 5.5GB and the install for PC is 6GB.
Does anyone know the reason as to why the xbox install is smaller than the other platforms? I'm sure there is a reason but ant help but feel that xbox owners are missing out on something...must add that i dont know anything when it comes to this stuff.

Cheers!

The PS3 version is probably more uncompressed because of the bluray format, but the pc version is simply bigger because it has higher resolution textures on more things.

The 360 never partial installs, it always installs the full disc, the same can't be said on the ps3 though most games cannot be installed and the ones that do only partial install, however skyrim does full install on both consoles, thanks to sony for allowing bethesda to do that.
