Skyrim inventory svcks!

Post » Fri May 11, 2012 12:25 pm

Oh dear lord in heaven, the inventory on PC svcks donkey [censored]!!

Any criticism that Oblivion's inventory got on PC is nothing compared to this atrocity. How anyone at Bethesda thought this thing was even remotely passable on PC is beyond me.

It's a complete mess, hopefully this gets fixed soon (either with a patch or mods).

I can't favorite or drop items, none of the associated buttons do anything.

Seriously Bethesda, I payed just as much money as the people who bought the console version (I even bought the overpriced CE), so I expect the same dedication to fitting the inventory to my platform of choice.

It's not even a day after release. Give them a few days to fix up these bugs people are complaining about.

The rest of the game is still there for you to play and enjoy.

I believe console players pay £40.00 and the Pc version gets sold for about £25.00 or £30.00 in the UK. But i agree they did not seem to test this game on ANY platform before releasing it. I guess we are the QA testers and have to pay for the privalege. Disgrace.

Isn't the pc version of the game cheaper? and why did you pay more for CE? or is it you just feel that it wasn't worth the money?

i agree tho the inventory can be cumbersome on pc.

Try what has been said in multiple threads, go back to default keymappings and most keys will do what they are supposed to do. Known issue that is being worked on, cant remember the tread but a beth employee acknowledged it in the spoiler forum.

But yes the ui is horrendously attrociously fubared imo.

A friend of mine who's savvy in technical details says that the game actually released with far less bugs than Oblivion did.

I guess i got lucky with the bugs again, mouse and all keys work perfectly for me. However, i agree with the title. In a true Bethesda fashion, this another game that you can enjoy despite it's features :P

That is not exactly comforting when i have been playing and encountered all kinds of bugs. I am not a QA tester.

There shouldn't be any need to fix the problem. It should have been fixed BEFORE shipping the game.

This is what happens when you design a game around a console and then port it to the PC as is without redesigning the Graphical Interface. I knew this is what they would do.

This is why the game should be designed for the PC and then ported to the consoles. However, since the XBox 360 is their main platform now that will never happen.

As a former PC gamer I find that insulting and disgusting. Things like that forced me to consoles.

Trust me there are loads of bugs on the 360. Bethesda just using their customers to QA test the game it seems like they always do.

They aren't very good at being businessmen then. It costs money to develop patches while it doesn't earn it, and your game getting a reputation of being buggy doesn't really help with the sales.

Well, he is wrong unless he has worked in bethesda time of realease of oblivion and skyrim as bug reporter(or who ever receives those bugs that users has encountered) and has log of exact hours how ofthen bugs are coming.

This day just started. So bug reports will increase hugely as hours will pass.

The Collector's Edition costs 150 EURO no matter what platform it's for

Does anyone know how to drop items from the inventory? It's set to F on my (azerty) keyboard and the tooltip display it as such, but nothing happens.

your friends correct in my experience so far . I'm very impressed with this release . Aside from the PC UI this is a genuine great game.

by default its R , so it should be what ever you changed the R key to . However some of the keys when changed still need the original key . So try R , or whatever you changed R too.

Probably R, if you haven't remapped that.

For me, with a qwerty keyboard, it's R.

It's not cheaper. The PC version costs the same as all the other versions.

I'm playing on the Xbox 360, and this is the best inventory system I've ever used in a game. U mad PC users?

Sorry. In all seriousness though, this really is the best inventory system I've yet to use. I'm sure Bethesda will be fixing it soon.

Is ok but I wish they had a paper doll to see our weapons and armor. I think 3 d items in inventory is a waste of resources.
