Dying is a harsh term but you get the idea.

I had stopped playing Skyrim since 5-6 months ago (since march-april or so). At that point many great mods had started to emerge. Particularly my favorite "realistic" style mods, immersion mods, event mods and so on.

I decided to check the mod progress and browsed nexus for hours, realizing that many of good and successful mods have been abandoned by their authors and have stopped getting updated since -for example- april or may. Most mods seem to be eye candy mods or minor mods that add minor things.

Having watched the mod progress in FO3, FNV (modding community was thriving and many epic mods were constantly released and updated even after years), i can't help but get disappointed. And IMO Skyrim is even more in need of modding than, say, those two games i mentioned.

Does anyone else feel like that? If yes, what could be the cause? Perhaps i am missing somethingb -if i do- care to enlighten me?

Oy, another "Modding is dying!" topic.

Skyrim does not need as many drastic overhauls as the previous two games. Body models aren't as badly needed because they actually put some effort into them this time. Overhauls like OOO aren't necessary because they actually have a lid on leveling shenanigans.
