The Shivering Isles had a special container called "The Dark Chest of Wonders" containing the "Ring of the Oceanborn". Some of the devs are definitely fans!

Well I think there is a ton of much better metalbands(nightwish is not metal anymore) from finland, Insomnium att the very top along with wintersun

I might hear that song if the trailer for Elder Scrolls VI showed the guy in the background image fighting Satan in hell while riding on a battleaxe-breathing dragon with dragon armor dlc.

I thought of this song because its more tame, less screaming, and the opera is more pronounced. It could fit an epic battle but also just traversing a snowy mountain.

Avantasia, Edguy, Kamelot, At Vance, Stratovarius, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire, Masterplan, Sonata Arctica, Turisas, etc. turisas fits Skyrim the best IMO.

I was planning to listen to Nightwish when I got tired of in-game music. Probably not that song though I like Nemo, Amaranth and Die Die Beautiful best. Nice video though.

Bye Bye Beautiful. But yeah Nightwish is great; and it's considered "Fantasy Metal", so technically it's still metal. I think Rhapsody / Luca Turilli fits better with these kinds of games though.
