Skyrim Online Mod, An Alternative to TESO?

Skyrim has better graphics and no cartoon crap player models like TESO does. If they manage to get a great private server up that can support at least 2000-3000 players then it would be amazing. They could add some moded files to so there are more weapons/armor and perhaps one day even add different worlds that other mods have created. If they had all this one day, perhaps in middle 2014 then this would be way more fun then playing TESO.

Hmm think we see somekind of co-op in ES6 TBH. Seems kinda waste not to add if considering million of MMO/online fans are gonna buy this.

I fail to see how a single player game would benefit from having online play with 2 - 3000 people.

Exactly what would it bring to the game and gameplay? What would it add? There would need to be a lot more stuff and quests added. And instanced dungeons. Etcetera.

If you don't want to play ESO then don't. Simple really.

It's already virtually impossible to make a fluid multiplayer experience out of the game as it is; currently it can't even sync up monsters and such.

Allright! A Skyrime Online Mod!

Let's take a brief history of what happened to other online mods?

Morrowind:
Attempts have been made. Last best shot was Project: Aedra. It essentially re-writes the game's engine, and is in pre-alpha stages. Last updated on March 21st, 2012. Appears to have been abandoned/died as it had done daily to weekly updates since it was first released in May 2010 up until that last update.

Oblivion:
Several attempts made. Last best shot was OblivionOnline. Requires OBSE to run. Last release was in August 2008 (build 0.4.5, alpha stages.) Considered dead. Allowed extremely minimal multiplayer (only a handful of players online at any given time, and opening any menus caused multiplayer to be disabled.)

I guess that was a long way of saying "Skyrim Online will fail. Even if it succeeds (a BIG if) it won't be able to match TESO."

The game world is way to small to make that mod fun for any amount of time. When I first saw it I thought it would be interesting with 2 or three buddies, but now that I have a few characters completed all the content in the game without even having all their skills capped I can't see it being fun at all. The game doesn't have the land mass or content to hold even a few people, not to mention a thousand.

An alternative to Skyrim? barely. An alternative to ESO? not in the slightest. The content alone makes it incomparable.
