Skyrim Patch 1.1 Download Link for Non-Steam Games

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 8:54 pm

I keep seeing that Steam, Xbox 360, and PS3 users get the 1.1 update patch that fixes bugs and whatnot. Where is the download link for people who just bought the retail version for PC and not from Steam? Couldn't find it anywhere on the Internet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it mandatory this game runs on Steam? Meaning you probably pirated it.

There is no download link. The game requires Steam, and thus Steam will deliver the patch automatically if you have automatic patching turned on.

There's a non-steam retail version?

Install the game. It will require you install Steam. Steam will install the patch for you. There is no link.

When you installed it you had to connect it to Steam, which will automatically patch the game. You probably already have the 1.1 patch, it should have downloaded right when you installed the game.

When you install the game it will install Steam as well as it's the DRM for Skyrim; then you'll be able to patch the game through Steam.

You get it from Steam. Even if you buy it from GameStop, you need to activate it on Steam to run it. Steam will auto-download any patches needed.

Non-Steam version is a pirated version, original installs Steam since it's a Steamworks game.
