Skyrim Players Can Turn To Cannibalism

Skyrim ratings listing reveals flesh-eating scene.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will get players to choose whether or not to become a cannibal, the game's BBFC listing has revealed.

Previous Elder Scrolls games enabled players to become vampires, forcing them to feed on NPCs. Bethesda also dabbled with the theme of cannibalism in both Fallout 3 and the Obsidian-developed New Vegas, which both featured the Cannibal perk.

The BBFC describes a 'strong moment' in Skyrim is "a section where you make the choice whether to join a group of cannibals in eating human flesh," noting that the act isn't actually shown.

Skyrim is rated 15 in the UK, and hits shores worldwide for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on 11 November.

A new trailer for Skyrim's making-of documentary hit yesterday - and features more dragons.

Always wondered what "long pig" tastes like. Naaah, I couldn't even bring myself to eat people in Fallout: NV. Might try some roasted argonian down the line though. Not technically cannibalism...

For a depraved character such as mine, this news is manna from heaven.

Hmmmm.... Need to think up a creative reason as to why my good character would eat people. I insist on devouring human flesh, its what I do.

You're a Bosmer. This is completely normal to you.

Finally, maybe I can actually play a lore-accurate Bosmer, who ritually eats the corpses of her slain enemies http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Green_Pact.* Though it sounds like that's not what that rating's talking about. <_<

*Though considering being able to make bodies disappear so quickly in Morrowind...

I play khajiits, so it's not cannibalism in the strict sense of the word :hehe: Neither would be eating argonians, elves are a bit of a borderline thing, though...

If only werewolves were in...I would make use of this extensively! I guess I could make do with other races...after all, why let it go to waste since they're all rot anyway after I kill them.

Thought this was a random perk/game mechanic upon reading the thread title. Not a poignant story moment. Boom. Accidentally spoiled. Goddammit.
