Is Skyrim a "Step BackDown from Oblivion?

Post » Tue Sep 25, 2012 1:12 pm

Not a bash on Skyrim, I play it everyday.....Almost, But it is missing tons of stuff. What do you guys/gals are thinking is missing from Skyrim that they can add to it via Dlc?

the culture is lacking, as well as variation in people, theyre all alike. and the cities are much too small, and its harder to make a connection, like the first time i stepped into the dark brotherhood sanctuary or the arena or when i became a knight in leyawiin. the quests were a bit more colorful and fun in oblivion. but the graphics and the new features in skyrim make it somewhat better.

Not nearly as much as Morrowind was a step back/down from Daggerfall.

In writing and quest desing, yes. Positively thinking, they can't get much lower :lmao: Unless they actually do let all quests be "radiant" in TES 6 :cold:

Not nearly as much as Morrowind was a step back/down from Daggerfall.

Interesting. And since Oblivion was a step down from Morrowind, and Skyrim from Oblivion... exactly how deep are we now?

You've done AND participated in these kinds of threads before sam, nothing changed -_- why make another one? and I don't agree with Morrowind being a step down on comparison to Daggerfall, atleast not in the sense Oblivion was to Morrowind etc etc etc/

Morrowind was built on a new engine (actually new this time) with differen't tech and the "streamlining" although not entirely accomplishing made sense, the "speech skills" were buggy and merely kept creatures from attacking you. great from an RP standpoint but we're talking machanics here.

Oblivion and Skyrim function essentially the same and are just prettier games with advanced mechanics, but all the rules are still the same.

whats left? alot less options and all that jazz....sigh...these threads. can we just go back to talking about milk drinking, Orsinium, wedding planning, picking genders for chars? because in response to this thread someones gonna erect a thank you thread as a kneejerk reaction and talk about how there is SO MUCH NEGATIVITY and all that forum drama.
