Skyrim Texture issues and how to uninstall from HD

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 4:09 am

I have installed Skyrim to my xbox hard drive and after reading about the texture issues I want to uninstall BUT not lose the game save data.

Any ideas on how to remove Skyrim from my xbox HD but retain the save data? and achievements?! I am 3 hours in and don't want to replay.

Just wonder how quick they will do a patch or update so I don't have to do this!

you do not loose game save date if you uninstall :) just delete the main game file 3.8gb your saves will remain.

Yeah in the memory settings, delete ONLY the large 3-4GB file in the Skyrim folder, NOT the saves. That should work :)

Real freaky Skyrim being only 4GB. I expected it to be multiple disks, considering Final Fantasy needed 4.

Thanks people. I will try later and see if that works. It's a great game, but the graphics in some parts look older than Oblivion, so it will be good to see what the disc version looks like.

I could wait for the title update, but could be waiting sometime me thinks!

alternatively you an also go to the game icon on your dashboard and press y, You'll have an option to delete the game, that will only uninstall it.

So it's better on disk instead of the HD? I have a 360 Elite which is obviously an older version - would it affect the smoothness of the game?
