Skyrim is the best RPG of all time...fact!

Well I've clocked about 12 hours of game time now and have to say I had to literally tear myself away from the game to post here!

This for me is the best open world RPG yet...and i've played many other titles. I've been astonished by the realism on many levels. So much epic goodness in this game, waited along time and have not been a jot disapointed.

Thanks Bethesda for giving an old RPG lover such an outstanding game.

Realism is severely lacking in this game and isn't a valid reason for picking it up. It's also not a fact that this is the best RPG of all time. That's an opinion, and one that, from my 6 hours of play, won't be shared by everyone. I will admit it's at least better than Oblivion by a pretty fair margin. At least it seems to be.

I find it a great game, but it could have been so much more. Stuff like no speed differences and no degradation of armor and the like stick out like a sore thumb. Also, while the magic system has potential, it isn't nearly as fleshed out as it should/could be.

This game is good and a vast improvement over Oblivion but... realism?

Well, as real as any fantasy game can feel.

Wouldn't say the best RPG of all time. The Witcher 2 is also quite good. Skyrim is one of the best.
