Skyrims low settings on PC compared to xbox : V - Skyrim

Modern console games (such as Skyrim) are 1280x720, and text and interface elements are quite clear. Is your friend downstairs using a modern television?

Modern(ish) but small flat screen, he has a SCART input on it and that's all. 19 inch 5:4 ratio screen but it should be no different to a 19 inch monitor except for the fact that the scan resolution of a TV is lower than a PC monitor.

I played Skyrim on a 19inch widescreen monitor before I upgraded to a 27 inch widescreen. My 19 inch monitor gave a far sharper picture than my friends 19 inch TV.
