Anyway, after saving up and buying the second card I find that 3D Vision and 680 SLI (in Skyrim) are having some serious problems.
Framerates;
2D and 680 - 45fps
2D and 680SLI - 70fps
3D and 680 - 25fps
3D and 680SLI - 20fps!
As you can see there's a nice improvement in the 2D performance, but I bought this second card expecting the 3D Vision framerate to go up to 40ish (and make it playable) - instead it has gone down.
So something clearly isn't right, and it is something to do with Skyrim because in my other games the 3D Vision framerates have increased when using SLI.
Has anyone had this problem and fixed it? I know 3D Vision and SLI is quite a rare setup (plus I don't know if it's only regarding 680 SLI or SLI in general) but i'm really hoping someone can help.
I should say this is with a fresh install of Skyrim, updated through Steam and i'm using the latest NVIDIA 310.70 drivers. I've tried changing some SLI settings in Inspector but nothing has helped. Also I have tried the game with and without the Helix Skyrim 3D Vision fixes - the problem is the same either way.
Thanks for any advice!
