A slice of heaven in the Mojave.

It's been confirmed if nothing else, we will have faction based homes, maybe even purchasable homes. Now, if you really get into a game styled like Fallout 3/Oblivion, you find Home customizing is a must, what you place inside to make it 'mine'.

So my question is, if there are no pre-set themes for us. (I'm hoping Pre-War makes a return) Then what will you do to make it feel like home? Take my home in F3. I always had to make little gnome shrines, display cases out of shelves. Etc, what kind of things will you do to make your home more homely?

I would like a MMO style house customization, where every thing is customizable.

ehh, that would be nice, but the F3 houses were eye candy in terms of theme decor, to me, the real home making were the items you find and put up in your house :D

I had a shelf filled with Power Armor helmets. That was on my first playthrough when I assumed that PA people were actually hard to kill. Once I realized they weren't much tougher I stopped making trophies of their heads.

Yeah but LOTRO for example has a crazy in depth home creator. I dont even play MMOs but I have to take my hat off to them for its depth.

I'll wait for Feng Shui to get ported, then place whatever objects I want wherever I want.

Ahh, I prefer items my self. My prized pre-war toasters. Those are difficult to find, so are flour xD

@test- That mod and only one or two others have made me wish I could play on PC. :sadvaultboy:

Toasters are bloody hard to find. I was playing yesterday and found one in The Pitt. I've got to go back there to get one for my Gordon Freeman character. He likes tech.

If I can find anything remotely like a bunker I'll be satisfied :)
and if there isn't even that then I can still look forward to the Lucky 38 suite

I'll probably just find a suitable shack somewhere and dump my stuff there. Preferrably a building (or tent. I'd very much like a tent actually) on top of a hill, or just generally high ground. The better sight I got around my home, the easier it is to shoot people from my backyard.

I think a way to mount weapons on walls would be seriously neat. Like above your workbench where modify your guns you have mounting racks where you can show off that prized weapon you pried out of someone's cold, dead hands.

I want my Pre-war Theme back. All the other themes seemed kind of inhospitable or trashy. Being able to mount my favorite weapons and armor would be nice too.

I always had heaps of bottles of whiskey and vodka around the place, and same goes for weapons. Really gave my house that kind of 'Wastelander' vibe.
I'd do the same in New Vegas.

im really hoping for a non tedious way of displaying thing I've collected. Having to use the drop item function was aggravating.

Judging by how many people are junk collectors, this would be a great addition to the game.

I'd love some kind of hidden bunker as a home base.

Are books/magazines actual items that you can drop and decorate a home with like in oblivion?
