Sliding NPCs - movement with no animation

Hi all,

This is starting to bug me...I wonder if there's some perk certain NPC have to enable this.

So, I'm a sneaky archer, I'm hidden and I loose an arrow at my target. Without ANY other animation playing the NPC insta-slides either left or right perfectly avoiding the arrow. There is no physics here, the NPC is stationary one moment, then sliding at a faster than sprinting speed the next - infinite acceleration if you will.

This is really annoying as they dodge your shot without any effort and instantly become alert to your location. If there was a dodge / roll animation then that'd be fine but the way they just stand there and slide is crazy.

In more than one instance I've loosed several arrows only to see the AI slide back and forth each time to avoid - I really do wonder if some sort of dodge animation should be playing here.

Anyone else seen this?

On a related note: Deflect arrows, I encountered an NPC who could to this with his two handed sword - impressive!

Cheers,

Scoob.

Yeah, so I have this happen as well. It makes no freaking sense. I don't always get spotted, but it's so dumb. It's like an auto dodge, but it seems like a glitch for sure.
