Slow-Motion?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:40 pm

I just played parts of the game, and minus poor framerates, it seemed a bit slow. It took about 10 minutes from the first guy (Dan? something) to drive me from the start to his gas station. I thought it was odd, so I watched a youtube video to see the official speed, and as I figured, it was much, much faster. The game is really running in slow-mo. Anyone else having that issue?

Yes its an issue with the drivers, you have really low framerates, probably much like me. We are expecting a fix for the catalyst drivers today. Hopefully that will improve things for both of us.

Hah. Wait. Are you implying that this game fixes low framerates by slowing down the entire game? (IE: Making sure you see each frame, no matter it's speed)

So if I pulled 120fps, the game runs twice as fast? And if I pull 10, it's 6 times slower? (Or it just caps at 60fps, and runs slower depending)

Brilliant. /sarcasm

They really hyped this. I was very interested in all their PC talk about the game. But really they were just shoving their foot in the mouth (a foot covered in sh*t). The didn't have to release it before testing it on a varying amount of systems. Coming from a company based off PC gaming developed, I am sad. If this all gets fixed, I'll play the game, but I'm done with companies that cater to console gamers. It's laziness.
