Slowing the disintigrate FXS? (Effect Shader master needed!)

Post » Wed Jan 23, 2013 10:15 am

I'm applying a copy of the ShockDisintegrate01FXS to a character, but I have a problem.

He yells as he is slowly melted away by the shader, over the course of about 8 seconds. The only problem is that the shader completely engulfs him and makes him invisible in only about 2-3. I'm trying to extend that time so that it very slowly glows over him, and synch up with his audio and the other events.

Does anyone know what setting in the Effect Shader controls this? I tried changing the full alpha time, and messed with some of the other settings, but none of them seemed to really change... anything.

I'd also like to (Though it's not required) change the color of the shader and the particals that it emits. However the color settings in the FXS are all shades of grey/black/white and don't seem to affect the partical's shading. Can I change this easily?

Can an experienced FXS'er give me some tips here?

Thanks,
