Small Request: Marry Serena

It would be nice to have the option but I'm not going to beg for it...

You should say that about a real woman you know and love! Not about a videogame.. (I'm gonna get flamed..)

I'd sacrifice a real woman to be [censored] by Bethesda for an option to marry Serana.

A moment of silence for our brothers in the "friend zone" :P

I don't really mind since my character is happily married to Slygja but I do see the appeal and the option would be nice. Either way it isn't so important to me though (at least not more important that fixing the vampire war of attrition and the ash piles problem which has been an issue since Fallout 3 and isn't helped by the fact that Serana and vampires like to raise freaking bodies left and right leaving more ash piles than I can shake a stick at)

I think if we keep up with this subject our wishes will be granted. So send out an update with the marriage option for her Bethesda we know you already have it ;)

For every thread like this, Todd gets another giggle.

I have a feeling that it isn't going to happen, but time will tell.

from the amount of threads i've seen on this already, i think it will happen.

i'd only want this if they added an option to re-marry

Meh, personally I prefer to rp the connection rather than have the shallow marriage mechanic in game ruin it for me...

Same here, but if they won't then I'll do like the settlers in quahog did. even although it's very complex.

Another thread about wanting to marry serana...when is this going to stop.

Not anytime soon (in fact, expect another spike when it's released on PS3 and PC).

But that's because it's perfectly justified. I've never even done the marriage thing in Skyrim (and wasn't planning to with Serana) but the fact that they give all these tips and then don't allow it looks like a dike move (Unless they're planning on leading into something with this later). This is literally the only NPC that your character will properly interact and develop anything with in the game.

I think it would be kinda cool if we could marry her, nice for the rp type people.

I married Aela the werewolf and made a trip back to my house with Serena to put some things away and prepare for that Forgotten Vale cavern/area/beautiness. The thing I realized when I got back to my house was, I had a werewolf wife, a human housecarl just chillen in my house (better not be getting with muh wife when im adventuring or [censored] WILL go down..), a vampire companion, and then me.. The Dragonborn/ Ex-Werewolf/ recently turned Vampire Lord. I figure that if that were to happen irl, it woulda been a very awkward get together... 0.o
And that Aela probably would have tore Serenas throat out in a heartbeat =P

Exactly. Most of the other NPCs that you can marry literally have just two or three lines of generic dialogue. Lydia's best line is when she angrily tells you that she is "sworn to carry your burdens."

Okay, Im seeing two types of opinions on this forum. There are people that could care less about the option to marry Serana and believe that you can just pretend your married and there are those people that are highly disappointed that Serana is not a love interest. Here is my opinion..."One does not simply pretend to marry Serana." Since Elder Scrolls V is a roleplaying game, I play it like an interactive movie. The lacking option to marry her breaks the immersion to the game. Movies don't ask you to pretend something is going on, they show it. I believe the same should apply to video games. Players need morale ramifications in order to feel satisfied with a game. Bethesda covered up the whole thing by having Serana "get nervous in a temple." I believe these should have been the options given. You either cure her of vamprism and marry her normally or you hold some sort of pagan vampire wedding in a cave or something and she turns you into a vampire with her and either way you can get married to her. This suits both types of players: the evil and the good.

I agree!

All I keep seeing is threads about marrying Serana. How about her mother anyway? She looks pretty decent to me. >.>

You gotta be kidding. [censored] her mother, Howard danggled that sweet sweet 4000 year old vampiric blood svckin glowy eyed plump necro ass in front of me like she was the last sweetroll in tamriel, and I dont even get to bite? WTF?!? I wanna bite! I wanna! hump.lololololololololololololololz

I honestly could care less. The whole marriage thing in the game was poorly implemented and rather pointless imo. My first character married Ysolda and ... she never slept with him once in the 200+ hours of time spent on him. Never even slept in the same bed as he did. And she only knew how to cook one meal.

Wait, now that I think about it, that kind of sounds like a real life marriage. No six and horrible food. Nevermind. For once, Bethesda actually got something right in this game.

U complain too much. Ysolda slept in my bed all the time like clock work. Lovers comfort all the time. It wasnt supposed to be super fleshed out, just a silly little side thing. I enjoy it. I find myself not wanting to marry any1 else though now that i met serana. Makes every1 else seem lame. Even my sweet werewolf queen Aela.
