If someone is looking for an idea for a mod (once we get the CK), add all the various workstations (especially Smelters) to all the settlements, as well as vendors.

Tons of grinders, forges, tanning racks and workbenches everywhere, but if you want to smelt you have to (fast) travel to a big city. The only smelter I've found so far is in Whitereach; while there are probably some in other cities, none of the settlements I've found has one, despite having forges. Just adding one of every station type to each settlement would be great.

Many of these settlements are surrounded by dungeons, and the only vendor is the Innkeeper and his 12g which of course he will only buy food and ingredients with -- wont even buy potions. More vendors, please. I don't want to constantly fast travel to somewhere with vendors so I can fast travel back to wherever I'm dungeon crawling/questing.
