Smithing and Improving armor

56 Smithing, with steel and elven unlocked, I can't make steel armor Flawless but can only make iron armor superior? How do i make flawless iron armor

why do you ant to improve iron armour? its rubbish. Get some dwarven armour.

It is plainly a matter of improving the smithing skill.

If you want it better, you can use enchanted items that boost smithing, or potions that boost smithing.

If the Elven Armor looks better than Glass Armor, I'd still use Glass Armor. That's just me though.
My point is, it's not all about the looks.
