Smithing for the best daggers

Post » Tue Sep 11, 2012 12:36 pm

So, I just starte my new sneaky assassin character, Solid Snake (I even tried to make him look as much as possible to the original one), and to be sure I wasn't going to make any mistake while building him, I started looking at guides for this kind of "class". Many suggested to spend points on the right side of the smithing perks to get the Daedric daggers, but I'm pretty sure that draconic daggers, with Dawnguard, are better, and that made me think I should go left since it's way shorter to get them and it will save you some points. The problem is: I'm on ps3. Do you think I should wait and not even look at smithing until the DLC will be released or just spend those points without caring too much about wasting them?

I'm also on PS3, TBH, it doesn't really matter which way you go. For now you could probably just go up the right side for the Daedric Daggers.

Depends on your speed while grinding. Right side gives you the best weapon materials throughout (better if you smith throughout the playthrough,) the left side will grant you the quickest way to get to Draconic, and Daedric (one perk away, only reccomended if you start grinding Smithing.)

You'll probably want to use light armor, so I'd recommend going with the left side of the tree.

doesn't it deal the same damage as a dragon dagger? if we ignore the enchantment that is. also i prefer the good ol' Razor.
