I have always felt stealth has always been one of the most overpowered abilities in pvp games. There is a problems when 50 percent of your players are playing the few stealth classes on a pvp game. Being able to control when a battle happens and with who is a huge advantage. And than they call them assassins and people feel this means they should automatically win all 1v1 match up. I really hope they don't go with a constant invis ability, I rather give them maybe a short duration 15 second shot or something this would be enough time to see someone or a group and decide to use it to close the gap invis or make a nice hiding escape. But allows the opponent to also at least know your possibly around. While daoc was a much better game over all compared to warhammer, this was one area I think warhammer did get better.
I was thinking of doing a World of Warcraft "Camouflage" type stealth. IF you ever played, the hunter class gets a skilled called "Camouflage," and they can't be hit (unless someone does an AoE attack). But also while in Camouflage if they stand still in one spot they can stay invisible to all, but if they move it will make them see-able, but still not attackable.
So using that method you could still use stealth and be stealthy, but if you get hit by an AoE or take action (Ex: Attack, spell cast, use potion) then you are visible. And the only way you can be COMPLETELY invisible is if you stand still.
Also the Camouflage skill lasts 1 minute in World of Warcraft, but is only on a 1minute Cooldown. You can only use it when OUT of combat.
I think using that type of stealth would be best. So you can see them if you can catch them quick enough trying to move in.
