When I first started using the bow after I unlocked the deadly aim perk It always worked. My sneak is currently at lvl 95. A few minutes ago I was going to complete a quest and I had to kill forsworn. I snuck up on a forsworn looter and it was night time out cloudy. I was quite a distance from him behind a rock, then I shot him and it hit him as if I was not in sneak mode.

When I hit him with the arrow he instantly knew where I was which didnt make sense since ive done this with many other people and creatures and before the arrow even hits them I move behind somthing and they never know where I am and can never find me when looking for me. At first I thought that maybe I just messed up and was spotted but after that guy it happened with the next 5 forsworn I attacked.

Repeatedly no sneak attack bonus and they instantly knew where I was no matter what angle I shot them from or how far away I was. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've had sneak issues outdoors at night, but I wasn't using bows with this character, so I can't help with that specific issue. However, I can say that outdoors sneaking even at night was much harder for me. I would get seen very easily, and it's like everybody just knew where I was sometimes. Go indoors, and I can own everyone in the dungeon. But god forbid I try to clear an outdoor fort....

It's a little better now, but of course now I have 100 sneak and all the sneak perks. I never could figure out what was giving me away so easily at 70 sneak though. People found me way too easily.

This has happened to me once when I used a tanning rack while in sneak mode. After using it, I thought I was still in sneak mode, and I was crawling around like I was, but in fact it 'broke' my sneak mode. Other than that, I haven't had a problem with sneak bonuses. Maybe double check that you're in sneak mode by going out of it, and going back into it? Was it just that once instance, or from that point forward you haven't been getting bonuses?

This happens to me every so often. In first person view, it will appear that you are moving in a crouched position, but your crosshair will not match. Make sure of that until a patch comes out.
